Hey guys this is my 2nd post...

I plan on getting a used Ninja 250/500 and was wondering what price range i should be expecting to look at? what kind of things need to be maintained and at what mileage? Any useful help for a noob at bikes would help before i buy my 1st bike...

wont be buying a bike for like 2-3 months, so i want to do my research.... thanks :thumb:

2fittys are pretty cheap, price wise. dont know exactly, but msrp is around what u will prolly pay if know how to buy

maintaince: keep chain lubeed, check tire pressure before you ride it (evrytime) change/check fluids, check chain tension, and keep that biotch clean

08 250 is said to be OTD at around 3800 to 4200...depending how well you can negotiate i guess...

I bought mine OTD at 4160....i should have shopped around and probably would of gotten it cheaper...but then again they are hot stuff right now...

If you plan to keep it then probably an 08 250 would be a good one...but if you plan to move up to a bigger bike eventually...buy a used one and learn on it...

I know used ones go for around 2300 to 3000...just gotta look hard enough to find a good one and cheap...

The more information you can emerse yourself in the better. Patrick offers a maintenance class regularly; remember you are trusting your life to this bike and that means the more familiar you are with it, the better.
