cresson has 2 tracks that actually connect to make 1 big track (3.1 mi.). they have a 1.7 mi. course & a 1.3 mile course. the 1.3 is awsome for tards. ive ridin mine on there at least half a dozen times. lots of cool elevation changes ! the 1.7 is usually what the CMRA & trackday orgs. use. except on Aug. 22nd. LSTD will be runnin both tracks simultaniously. 1.7 will be run by the racers & the 1.3 will be for the trackday guys. you should definately hit that one up for sure ! i usually ride both tracks... my 1000 on the 1.7 & the tard on the 1.3. i switch back and forth from one session to the next.

You'd like Cresson!
Put a 'lil sprocket on and do MSRH (if you can go small enough)

MSRH would totally suck for a motard. too fast... these guys can say all the crap they want. but how many of them actually ride one ? NONE !

That's an expensive proposition.
Why don't you email Macman at steve@lstd.com and see if he can help you out with this?
BTW, as Alrova indicated, we've got a date at MSR twice, and once at the Mercedes Benz course in Angleton on July 4th. Like I mentioned to you before, once you ride at Cresson (MSR), all these other tracks will be a lot less interesting...
I'd bet you could probably twist Macman's arm, along with Jody's help, to help yall get something going at GSS.
The end all, be all of it is that to rent the track is very expensive, and you don't even want to know about what insurance costs.
The ace in the hole is that Macman has a motard, and a bunch of his friends do to... so it may only take minor arm twisting...

It would seem to me that GSS would be the best course for a dirt section just by the areial veiws. Granted I have yet to see the place. David seems like a nice enough guy on the phone. I have set up a meeting with him next week to discuss the dirt section. It seems several people have talked to him about it but have not followed through. We need this place. I can understand his piont of veiw for the lack of intrest around here for supermoto. It can happen . Just need some commitments to help and ride . So if any of you that would be a willing participant to help get this thing rolling i would like to here from you. To get your opinions and feedback. So call my store or post here... yea i see no restrooms. Thats why i bought a motorhome!!! I have 3 daughters. I know all about the restroom problems.HA LOL!!! Wes 281-370-4400

Good luck.
I don't know where you're getting the impression that no-one has tried to follow through, but that's wholly un-true.
Kudos to you if you can pull it off, count me in to help however I can :thumb:

You know how it is. You talk to one and then another and the story changes. I dont care. If i can make it work then woo hoo if not i'll drive on. Im used to doing things myself.. If dont work i'll go outa town and ride. Im not going to take my equipment down there. Build a course and then all of a sudden every one wants to ride. You know what i mean...

You have heavy machinery to do the work? Give the guy a bid if so! Put the decision with him instead of shouldering a burden that someone else will reap the benefits of.

LSTD I see in your reply to me. The first thing you say is Good Luck.. Fill me in.. Yes i have a dozer and loader. Personal not for hire. I see your point about him reaping the benfits. But if we dont have the land and he does. Do the math. Dont matter how much equipment you have. If you aint got the place to pile the dirt???? By way of what i mean by others. He said several others have contacted him including the AMA but nothing ever happened..

No dude, re-read my first reply. I'm just saying that there are people with follow through who would like to see a lot of things happen, and some things that have been talked about. It's just that nothing has happened yet.
If you have the means to help get things done, there will be people to help out.
Personally, I wouldn't do anything that I wasn't compensated for though in some way. Especially from someone that will make money off my labor/ efforts.

ill look into this , renting the track isnt THAT expensive , but im sure the insurance and medical staff are what bumps the cost up ... i just want to ride and being limited by track sucks gss is close and super fun on the motard

You may be surprised. Like I mentioned, hit up Macman, I know he'd be more than happy to get with you and provide guidance or maybe you could talk him in to having a small event (instead of a large scale event) if it's possible.
I'm with you, I dig that track- the surface, the layout, the skills needed to run it quickly, not to mention the proximity...
