any gixxer riders done the throttle mod? i just did mine, it was cheap and easy to do. so far i like the difference alot. stock throttle is 1/4 turn and the new turn is 1/6.

i think it would be cool but not for track (circuit) or stunting makes the throttle to abrupt....

It makes the throttle open the butterflies faster, but exactly as Jake said it makes the bike harder to modulate the throttle. Not good for the track or stutning or even fast street cornering.

patrick is right it can make it harder 2 ride on the track. on the track u need throttle control and as well at doing stunts.

well if it was to hard to control why does the R1 come with it? its not that hard, really its just takes a day or so to get used to it. iam already used to it. just those first couple of days it felt really twichy.

sv people do it on the track.

Actually we played with it on our SV's a few seasons back. Not much of a difference there and the throttle housing doesn't fit right.

However the throttle response of an SV and a GSXR are worlds apart.

We didn't use it this past season, nor did anyone else in the top 3-4 finishers. I'm not in favor of doing anything that makes throttle control harder to do.

o i see, dunno then, some racers on the sv board still use it, but like you said, not much noticeable. i almost did it to mine, but just to lazy.
