Well guys,
I never thought i would be posting in this section but here i am. :hello: I have finally decided to go ahead and get back into school to finish my degree. I am currently working out at the Valero plant in TX City as a Boiler Maker/Pipe Fitter and have been working in the plant for 3 years. I got into the field as a temporary deal to make some good money and to take a break from school. Before this temporary deal turns permanent, i need to take a pay cut and get another local job with school friendly hours on a regular schedule. I would love to keep my job but going to school full-time and being on call 24/7 working shift work on 12+ hour shifts wont happen if i want to maintain good grades or healthy sleep habits.

I live in Friendswood near Baybrook Mall so the closer to home I can get, the better. I know i wont be able to find anything that will allow me to make as much as i make out at the plant so im already expecting to take a loss. Im not picky as far as the job goes... just need to make enough to pay my bills and give me the spending cash i need while in school. Im mechanically inclined along with being a fast learner. I can do anything you want me to do.

LMK what you got! Thanks guys! :thumb:

You stand on the porch of building and wait for customers to pull up. Then try to sell them a car. The best part is 90% of the guys ride. We like to fkc with folks so as long as you can handle getting your balls busted on a daily.....it's fun.

I actually dont have any experience with that as of yet. I am a boiler maker but we also did pipefitting work but not too much. They just classified us as both. We were on a general maintenance type gig. We did alot of exchanger work out there at valero.

I was a boilermaker for 9 years. Got laid off in 2004. Spent a month at home and came here.
