TMGP Rd. 2 Results

First of all I would like to thank my sponsors - RideSmart, Andy @ Metric Motorcycles, VISA/MC/Amex :rofl:, my pit crew :nod: & most importantly Tony aka HouseofPain with Tom's Paint & Bodyshop (without whom this feat was not impossible).

Usually within a couple hours of the race we have the scores up (on MH) but since our team finished first and was also protested :hs: they had to withold the official scores (just for F7) and trophies and wait to tear the motor apart before giving an official report.

Well I'm pleased to announce that we came out clean and were totally legal for F7N. We just rode faster, longer & better. That's it. I'm ashamed at all the teams (yes teams), that doubted our motor and won't accept that our riding has improved.

I would also like to thank the team(s) that chipped in to protest, thanks for the $100. You all paid for our endurance fee (literally) :rofl: maybe next time you all will believe me when I tell you "Yes, it's legal." For those that were there, you saw the whole drama, those that were'nt - both Denny (TMGP official mechanic) & Billy Weise (indenpendent) both measured the stroke and piston size, before giving the official thumps up. I'll just say it was a painful experience watching them tear it apart, but it was worth it seeing people's faces in dismay! :keke: So thanks for the $100 - for next time, first go practice riding in the rain :nod: and upgrading your skills before protesting "me" or a faster team.

By the way - I was riding with an injury, had it not been for this, I would have been able to put in much longer stints and put in faster laps.

Yea when your own friends (so called) that you freely would help around in the pits turn around and protest you they all pretty much gave me the finger at that time.

So that's just my response, but asusal I know where this will go.

Due to popular demand, TMGP is now randomly tearing down one endurance motor after each race. So make sure y'all buy extra gasket sets.

Thanks dude, if it were'nt for you, Tim, and others yelling at me the whole last year for 'quit whining' about motor and just learn to ride better - I would have never gotten off my butt and worked hard for the 53 sec. lap times on a F7 bike.

My target before 2009 is to put in a 51.5 in dry ideal conditions & a 55 in raining shitty conditions @ Katy.

Currently I'm 1.5 secs off in dry and 3 seconds off in rain. :/:

But they still go ahead and protest you.

My point exactly! Last year we all doubted Que Paso's motor, we all even asked them in person, I know I did with Gianni, Tom & Henry - once they all said it's legal, that was enough for me.

After that I would never protest them, I'd take there word for it.

In my situation, I had both members of Mad Season, Reddy Racing, Sitting Duck all come up to me on different occasions, jokingly, seriously ask me, I said the same thing, but what happened? I got protested and had to be put through watching 4 guys tear my bike apart that I spent soo much money and time in keeping together. :nod:

I'm just a little hurt that's all Tom, we all started together in TMGP (atleast most of us). A protest from an outsider would have been better, rather from your own "Friends - or what ever you'd call it". What's sad is how straight faced ya`all were after the race, as If like trying to avoid me. Now it makes sense why I got treated that way. :er:

Moe, you only pulled two laps in the 53s! I'd hate to see that on a non-injured raceday. You might be pulling 53s all day long.

But those are impressive times...I tried hard to get my timer to list in the 53s but only g=could pull low 54s, but most of my laps 55s.
