Katy practice

Anyone interested in a some mini practice out at the katy track? I am getting back home on friday, and have been itching to take the kx out for some practice laps. Right now I am thinking tuesday or wednesday. Anybody else want to head out there?

My membership expires at the end of this month, but I never got the new gate code since they changed it. You got it? Don't post it, just wondering, I'm sure I can call GCC and get it if I had to.

I just got a membership and it has the gate code on it, so I am assuming it is the new code.

I am definantly ready to get out on that track though, and may be able to get out there a little this weekend. We will see if the wife goes for it or not though. I will be out there either tuesday or wednesday, or both, depending on weather and if anyone else is out there.

no, not for practice, but I'd reccommed some type of gear. I've got a A* summer safety jacket you could use. Jeans, gloves, and maybe some knee pads would probably get the job done.

i have an astar jackets knee pads and all the other goodies .. not sure if my bike will be ready by this weekend getting a manual clutch for my 88 motor and a carb and chain for my other one but ill come out for sure

Cool, hopefully we can get a few minis out there and turn some laps. This will be the kx's first ride, apart from around the neighborhood, so I am sure I will be taking it pretty slow.

Right now I am looking at being out there tuesday the 25th, probably around noon or 1. I will probably be out there for a while, so who all wants to come out any play! I will probably be out there wednesday also, if tuesday doesn't work out.

How long did it take? I think I sent my membership application in like friday or so and just wondered how long it takes before they get it activated and all. :) I would love to come out sometime soon. Hope things go thru soon.

From when I sent the application in to when I got my card was about a week and a half. I am sure if you sent in your application and money, it would not be a problem to come out and run on tuesday, even if you dont get your card by then. I would send Mark (the club president) an email, he has been very helpful with answering my questions.

Track felt good, and the bike ran well. Still have some set up to iron out and get comfortable on the bike, but I was pretty impressed.

I will more than likely be out there tomorrow also, if anyone else wants to run some laps.
