Will full coverage cover my bike in an accident on the track? I have heard mixed responses. One agent said yes as long as it's not a race, the other said no and to report it wrecked on the street(which I wouldn't do). I don't have my original packet with all the exclusions though :/: This is the deciding factor of whether to take the VFR on the track or not.

Call your agent and check your policy. I have asked my agent and I am covered, but I wont use it unless I think the bike is completely totalled. Cause I am pretty sure as soon as I do wreck at the track and do that claim I would bet they would cancel me.
J
Agent wasn't really sure, she said she thinks so but doesn't deal with MC's much. I need to read my policy, but not sure where the hell it is :/:
Double check your policy.
My insurance covered me at the track, but I did end up getting dropped. I think this was because I canceled the policy on the bike I just got paid for. Faylaricia had the same insurance and they paid her for her bike, and she still has insurance with the same company.
im pretty positive that bikes or cars that are used in a race enviroment void your policy. so if u wreck, better say u wrecked on the street. ive called and asked about this many times with corporate before

Even if you're riding with one of the trackday schools?

What company is that?
The policy was through The Woodlands Finicial Group. They were completly aware that it was crashed on the track. As a matter of fact both bikes still had tape over the lights and mine had the rs number plates on it when the adjuster came to look at them.
BTW, they were the cheapest insurance policy I have ever come across for both me and Faylaricia.

A track day isn't a race enviroment. It is a non sanctioned, non timed and non competitive event. It is classified as school by some insurance companies, State Farm being one of them. I have heard on more than one occasion of State Farm paying on the bikes.

YOUR answer is WRONG, which is y i'm not surprised u no longer work for State Farm. Wish u would remove the avatar 2 BTW, it's misrepresentation on ur part... :angry7:
Dvl, who are u insured with? Unless it is specifically excluded in the "Losses Not Insured" section of your actual "policy form" (which is not the declarations page) it is covered. Ask your agent to send/hand you a copy of that policy form, and read that section carefully. I would encourgage you to urge ur agent 2 contact their claims and underwriting department and ask they specifically to answer that question.
Certain companies do cover accidents on the track under ur collision deductible while some SPECIFICALLY EXCLUDE for it, and that exclusion would be indicated in the "lossed not insured" section. Now if the case is that they don't exclude for that type of loss it will be covered, but the policy will be cancelled at the next renewal, more than likely b/c of the track use, but since it isn't stated as an exclusion, they have to honor the claim first.

Thanks Candy, I am with SF :thumb:
I think what I will do tomorrow is have my agent call the claims office and ask her to document the convo and put it in my file. That way if shit hits the fan I have some documentation to refer back to :thumb:

Udr = underwriter, have her ask them in general and note on her file who she spoke with.

i worked there for over two years and insured well over 300 bikes. trust me ive called the underwriters and claims and they both told me the same unless shits changed. do u work there and how would u know what exclusions are? and what does it matter if i am currently working there? i dont have to work there to have a state farm avatar to support my cousin tuan since the state farm section was handed to him, i left state farm for bettter oppurtunities. so i think u should stfu. thanks have a great day. :angry7::D

oh and another reason why your wrong smarty,
all insurance companies dont cover intentional acts damages to your vehicle insured, do u ever see that stated anywhere in your policy? NO. they dont have to state exclusions not to be covered. just because its not written in your policy excluded doesnt mean its covered.
