View Full Version : gloves
Anyone have any experience/comments about the A* SP-S gloves? I recently bought them, haven't really tried them out yet as far as riding with them. I basically had the choices down to the JR Supermoto gloves and the A*. I tried both on, and the A* felt better padded and more comfortable. Well, when I got home, I didn't realize (yeah I know, stupid me) that the A* really doesn't have knuckle protection like the JR. The CF protection was more on the back of the hand than the knuckles for the a*, where the JR had vented plastic knuckle protection.

I love them, I think they're great gloves. No complaints here. I've also heard lots of other people say they love theirs as well. No one has any stories about them going down in them though.

I'm the same. When I took my bike to get it inspected today after I went inside and they wanted me to bring it around back i left my gloves and helmet inside and it felt really strange.

Just think about tripping and falling on the concrete and scraping ur hands up. That usually stings if u hit it hard enough. Now imagine going 30mph+ and falling on ur hands
cool. :icon_thumright: The quality looked and felt great. From the stitching, it looks like it'll hold up well in an accident. So the only thing I wasn't sure about was the knuckle protection. thanks fellas

+1 :icon_thum
I went down in them at 30mph. Barely even scratched them and it was that gnarly groved concrete found at intersections. Didn't help much with my broken wrist though :crying:
Yeah those are the ones I ended up buying. I gotta get used to them tho, cuz it felt weird not having that direct contact with the throttle, clutch and brake levers. I do think I got a size too small cuz even tho I do have some slack at my fingertips, the glove be squeezing that web-like skin right in between my fingers. Oh well, in time they'll stretch out a lil.

i have the ones aznstunna has posted, i think they are called the GSP or something along that line. i have had two pairs of those gloves (the first pair i gave to my old lady since they shrank after i got caught in the rain) but real comfortable and crash tested.

I rock these on the street and for Mini Racing. They have held up to about 7 wrecks so far.
Can't find a pic of my track gloves but they are the Teknic Violator Pros that are all black with chrome knuckles. They held up to my lowside in T1/T2 at TWS which I was hauling some booty in. :icon_thum
