my friend is buying his first bike tommorow, and getting his liscense. Can he take MSF afterwards (as soon as he has the cash) and still get the insurance discount? I would think so, but I wanted to check before I told him anything for sure. Thanks guys

Of course he can. Actually, with his motorcycle license, he could take the Experienced RiderCourse, but personally, I'd suggest he go ahead and take the Basic. He'll get more out of it.

Then you probably have Progressive Insurance.

the only one i know of that doesn't give any kinda of discount is progressive (as said by challen) the only way they do is if your a home owner and one other requirement that i dont remember

Home owner and married and I think kids too. Progressive sucks, I hate them so much but they are the only people who will insure me.

I REAAAAAAAAAALLY hate progressive, You know they won't give me the homeowners insurance discount because the home I'm buying isn't in my name? That really sucks.

It's the family house, I'm buying it from my mom, it's in her name, it's a family held mortgage you could say, I have every single stinkin' bill in my name except for the homeowners insurance, it's all tied up in that escrow krap which is tied into her name, which I pay for, but it's in _her_ name. Those sorry sacks of .. Those bad people won't give me the shitty little discount because "I don't technically own the home"

I've never hated one company more than I hate progressive, oooooooooh just saying it makes my teeth feel hollow :icon_bounce:
