Ok so I got ahold of sbfullers 50 with the 88 kit on it yesterday. I want one!!! So what do I need to know about it. What is recomended? I have seen stage one two and three kits. Wheres the best place to buy it? Pros/Cons?

Thanks.

Pros - bigger smile.
Cons - lighter wallet.
76% more displacement, can't go wrong with that! Need a manual clutch IMO.

Stage 3 FTW :keke:

J/k I know nothing about bikes :hello: :hello: :hello: :keke:

stage two is what he has(best for stunt IMO)

you need hd auto clutch
you also need 15-35 gears
new chain.

john k on PM told me the BBR 82 big bore kit is the way to go for stunting. and he has experienced stunting on just about every motor including 108 stroker. but he said he still prefers 82 out of all of them because its not so torquey, has feel of stock motor, but slight more power to gas out of tricks.

thats what im puttin in my stunt 50...

Not to correct you on all of your posts, but I feel people need good information.

82 stage 1 maybe.

list of bikes in my garage right now:

stock motor stunt bike
88cc stage 2 stunt bike
88cc stage 3 stunt bike
82cc stage 2 bike
124cc dirt
140cc dirt
88cc stage 3 dirt.

ok, out of the honda based motors, the 82cc is the most torqiest, it made a horrible stunt motor. you are welcome to come by and ride them all, and form your own opinion. but I still think the tb 88cc stage 1 or 2 is the best stunt motor combo. Yes I know John-k, next time you talk him, ask him who he got the forks from, for his stunt bike?

here is a link for tb parts, javi can get them for the same price:
http://www.esd-mfg.com/50stunt/engine.htm

this is a killer deal on a whole motor with everything you need and a six month warranty, it maybe overkill for what you want, but you can buy the whole motor for less than the parts for the 88, and still have your complete stock motor.

When I bought my bike it had to 82, when I went to rebuild it 82 parts were hard to find. Get ahold of classic honda out of dallas, the will give you a killer deal on there classic honda brand kits. I paid 100 for piston and cylinder. I already had cam and carb on my bike so did not have to worry about that.

Can I get away without the HD clutch?

yes, it wont hurt anything. I may have one or two hd auto clutchs laying around, you need to remove the clutch to install the oil pump anyway.

I forgot to tell you a hv oil pump is recomended.

lol that was my next question. Oil pump... Do I need it for the stage 2? Thats probably whats going to go in the bike. I am not going to mess with stage 3. I think its a little overkill. Just trying to do a little math on how much this is going to set me back.

Thanks for all the help guys. I have one more question. Does the CDI really help or is it just bogus.

josh302

aftermarket cdi with no revlimiter = motor blow up

82 sucks i like the rh88 for stunting ,josh loves his stage 2 motor. i guess the opinions vary but my 82 has the most torque outa all the bb kit. get a trail bikes 88 kit. javi can get em cheap. and replacement parts are cheaper and easier to get. takegawa kits the parts are more expensive 100 dollars to rebuild the 82 or 88 . trailbikes is 60.

RH88??? I called ryan at ESD. He said 310 shipped for the oil pump, satge 2 kit, and the HD auto clutch. Isn't that one the same as the trailbike one?

Well I got the satge 2, HD clutch, and oil pump in. Can I do the stage 2 with the motor still on the bike? Or do I need to pull the engine out of the frame. Is there any tricks or anything I need to know before I dive in?
Thanks in advance.

remove the front fender.
you need a 2mm drill bit for the oil pump install.
