not yet, went and looked at it after the TD and it ran kinda rough, and when I put it into gear (while engaging the clutch) it would die out (not sure if clutch needed adjustment or was going bad). Also blew white smoke for what seemed like forever, slowly got a little better, but never went away. After letting it idle (with the help of keeping it at idle) I rode it around and seemed to bog down quite a bit (I was told this is normal until the motor gets warm), so I was uneasy of the purchase. I'm going back Saturday morning with 2 buds who have better experience in the DB world and I'll let them make a decision for me.

I hope it works out for me....because the price is RIGHT....I just don't want to dump several hundred bucks into the thing right off the bat. That defeats the purpose of a good deal ya know.

Yeah, is that totally normal to blow smoke forever...keep in mind that the gas was probably kinda old and the bike has been sitting for the better part of 4 or 5 months.

I would be a little leary of that one too. What really sux is that you buy to ride not to work on. (unless you are into working on them)

prolly. they are designed to run at high RPMs, so idling it'll leak down esp. if it''s been sitiing for so long.

they require alot of maintence, and unless your commited, better to find a 4-stroke bike, SV ? that'll teach you alot about corner speed. or even a ninja 250

I don't wanna 4 stroke....top end jobs are easy enough...I don't mind turning a wrench. I'm using this for trail riding and MX tracks...not Motard... This will be my vice to street riding since I can only afford trackdays about once a month:keke:

BTW, small 4 strokers barely get me started...not enough power to me.

No doubt alot cheaper I went dirt riding with my daughter and wife on a cr85 and a crf 100. It was like $5 to ride on the mx track. Cheap thrill fix between trackdays and in the winter.

That is what has peaked my interest....I can probably afford to do 2 trackdays a month, but I know once I get married that will probably change...spending $15 or less I don't even need to explain:nod:

No doubt my ole lady i think is jealous of my track love affair. But she don't complain about dirt riding because she can do it too. It makes me smile to watch her. She is so cute tiny petite girl with a big ole helmet on crashing about every 20 minutes. Man, my leg gets sore kicking her bike over after it floods.

I've had a ton of 2 stroke dirtbikes and i was thinking about getting another one, but i have been swaying twards an XR200 for trail riding and mx'ing For trail riding you can't beat a good 4stroke plus they aren't obnoxiously loud like a 2 stroke 125-250 ect. Plus they require much less maintenance and no gas mixing I already have enough crap to work on. Also the newer 4 stroke mx bikes fly I rode my uncle's 06 KX250F a while back and it impressed me so don't rule those out if you can find a good deal on one

i'd rather change the top end on a 2 stroke than adjust the valves on my 4 stroke...

what's so hard about mixing oil in the gas anyway?
