Today I attended my first track day with the guys at SpringSportBikes, and I gotta tell ya, I'm hooked, never had so much fun riding my bike, learned a few things about body positioning and the bike's handling characteristics. Now I love my bike even more 'cause it didin't let me down, I never realized that bike could do the things it did today.

The first thing that surprised me was how the tires looked after the first sesion, kinda "blistered", well, ya'll know what I mean, all the way to the edges (I know, I need to find a better position to keep the bike a little more upright) and sticky as hell.

And all of this got me thinking that I need to get in better shape, because by the fourth sesion I was tired and my concentration was drifting a little bit, and turn 8 almost got me, but I managed to recover the bike without freaking out.

Finding my line was never an issue, but diring the day I managed to adjust my braking points and started to braked a little deeper before initiating the lean, all without any surprised, so I'm already thinking on the next track day , again in the beginer class of course, then I'll think on jumping to Intermediate.

And it was great to finaly meeting Taeyoung and Arturo.

Dude, we had a blast out there as well. Now I can't stop thinking about it, and wondering about what I can do next time to improve. I've gotta say, you guys make it look a whole lot easier than it is. Nothing but respect for you track veterans... :notworthy:

I had a freakin blast out there... In the morning I started out turning 1:56s and by lunch I had broken the 1:53s!!!! couldn't have been more excited when I saw that on my lap timer. I know I can do better... I have to do some adjustments on my bike and I think I will be better off. We'll see about that next time out :icon_thumright:

If you're at a LSTD event, stop by the first garage(next to the room where you register)... most of the instructors are pitted there, and are always more than help to answer questions or give some friendly advice. Tyically, Jeff, Wade, Macman, Stephen, Ronnie, Mark, Andy, myself, and a few others are all in that area.
