Changing my oil and filter on my own tomorrow, any suggestions on what brand and weight of oil to use. The bike is a 04 R6 if it matters.

We've always had good results with Motul, ( it's all we've used in our racebikes for years ) but pretty much most of the motorcycle specific oils out there are pretty good. I'm not overly fond of some Fram filters, I like either the factory stuff, K&N or Hi Flo.

I use Motul and whatever filter I get at MU. I like it, and it is not brutally expensive like some oils :icon_thumright:

Go to wal-mart and use Rotella T heavy dudty(blue bottle) synthetic. Check around the net and you will find that its in the top 3 for bikes and it cost 1/2 the price. Any filter from a MX-6 will work on bikes as well. i use Supertech 3713 at walmart for 2.49$. and its also top 3.
