Really like the idea of a untility/map light.

I have never heard of Akuma, I'm not sure I'd trust my mellon in this one.

i don't think that this is such a bad idea. i'm surprised that Racer X is against increasing the visibility of a rider.

That's OK, I've decided that drilling holes in my helmet for LED's is not a good idea (it may cause leaks in the rain). I'm just going to stick a but load of these on my helmet, jacket, and bike:

haven't read/heard to much about them. pretty popular in euro. and some nice features like that drop down visor. and being C/F light is always good.

Cheapest I've found them were around 450.00. There have been quite a few times while riding that I've found need for some sort of light.

Nice!
Order a pair for your boots too

You should find a way to mount a coleman light to your lid also.
Like a headlight.

We just signed up to be dealers for Akuma at the IMS show....

They're a really top notch helmet with alot of thought put into design. The led's in the rear are designed to point right at the driver behind you when you're in a riding position to make you more visible.

All the controls/vents on the helmet are designed to be easily operated with gloves on as well.

Beyond that.....the graphics are SICK...its like they jump right off the helmet...hands down the coolest looking helmets I've ever seen.

I've been checking out their website ... they have some really innovative technology coming down the line ... electrochromatic visors? Sweet! Plus they're 420 ... not 450 ... even better.
