We are considering opening an indoor motocross track in the houston area, and are wondering what kind of response we will recieve. Post up on your thoughts or suggestions

A few ideas such as prices, what kind of track configurations you want, other amenities?

There's one in Wisconsin called Sandbox Arena.
The site (http://www.sandboxarena.com/index.aspx) might give you some sort of idea.

Here are some pics.

What happened to the inside track that was in the works not so long ago? I believe it was to be called "ride inside" not sure though. Great idea for sure! Good way to get people like newbies & parents out to the track with the comfort of shade and seating.

What kind of exhaust system does your company plan to use? How many units? Number of CFM's?

Depending on the location and type of track, I'd come check it out.

With the crazy weather we have in the Houston... this would be great for the monsoon season, the 6 months of summer, and 3 days of cold weather we have.

hells ya.

when i saw the newest member "houstonindoor" i was hoping it would be someone with an idea like this....that or indoor mini-supermoto cart track...but indoor MX is on my wish list for Christmas.

Would there be membership plus gate fee? just membership? or just gate fee? i'd kinda like a membership place where I can pay just once throughout the whole year to ride.

anyhow, good luck in developing this idea.

A kids/pee wee track would be a great bonus. How big would the main indoor track be? Would it be too small and tight for a 450? Also, it would be good if the track was on the Southside, like off of 288.

good idea... location wouldn't matter that much as long as it was fairly central, for something like this i think riders would be willing to drive

SM wouldn't attract as much as MX would.

If this dream becomes reality, i'd be there all the time. I'd love to ride in the A/C, out of the rain, or during one of our couple weeks of winter.

I understand completely. . .all he has to do is have two huge bay doors where the track could be turned to sm by opening the doors and allowing the bikes to run outside through a pavement section and then back inside:thumb::nod::D:thumb::hello:

Does indoor mean Four strokes only?

Air conditioned?

I second the request for it to be rideable by pitbikes. Or have a mini track.

Or a large enough parking lot to offer it on occasion to gauge interest.

make a pit section to practice back flips and trick for the freestyle section of dirtbikes. even just an area in general allot of people are looking for more freestyle location but not much around if any.
