Well I install car audio currently at circuit city, as far as that goes, i can do everything but overhead mounting (i can do the wiring) and alarms. besides that i can do just about anything.
now onto the main part of it, i am currently going to san jac for my auto body certificate. however, i did autobody three years in high school, and now a year at san jac, so i definetely have experience, and I can do just about anything you give me besides frame straightening (havent messed with that much), and havent done interior work. but any body damage im all over, including welding, painting, buffing, any type of sanding, the whole nine yards. so i was seeing what was out there, im not currently certified, but will be, and can definetely do certified type work, guaranteed.
please let me know if you have any info
Thanks,
Matt

yes i go to south
and as for the buffing, i dunno what a good price is...it takes a little while to do. were you wanting wet sanding done also, or just buffing out surface scratches?

won't hurt to go to a few body shops and ask to start off as a helper with intentions of moving forward. let them know of your intentions....unless you have prior "professional" experience, it will be harder to start off as a painter/body man.
if you're talking about icar certifications.....they aren't worth a damn. i've had guys with icar certifications that didn't know how to do jack. it's all about experience. so you might have to start off at the bottom somewhere
it's best to know most brands of products also....mixing ratios, reactions, process of laying it down, etc. every brand has it's differences.
good luck with finding the job.....i'm not sure what you make now, but being a bodyman/painter can be rough work, and not to mention hard on your health. not sure if it's worth a few extra bucks an hour.
