Hallett Update!!

Quick update from Hallett; Our sponsored endurance team Fireball took first in class in F2 yesterday, the race was run the last 3 hours in the rain.

Brandon took 1st in F2 and another 1st in LW twins.
Ronnie took a 3rd in SBC
Bill, riding a GSXR600 against some of the AMA's top privateers on 750s ( Danny Eslick, Ty Howard, Logan Young, Corey West, John Haner, etc. ) took 6th in SBC Expert.
It's lunch now, I'll try to post more updates later.
BTW, I'll put together the BT002 group buy Tuesday when I get back.

Fifth Element Racing got it's third 3rd place finish for the season at Hallett this past weekend. At the 3 hour marker, we were in 4th & 2 laps down from 3rd place. The rain came into play... and our team shined! Not only did we pick up the 2 laps we were down to take over 3rd... we went ahead and lapped them another 3 laps in the last hour just to be on the safe side. :) This is my third time to ride on rains, it's a blast racing in the rain. I'm not sure what a fast time is at Hallett in the rain, but I was turning some 1:39's and 1:38's.

O.K. , results for the weekend:
Team Fireball: 1st place F2 endurance
Brandon: 1st place F2 and LW Twins, 2nd place SSD and SBD
Ronnie: 2nd place SSC and SBC, 3rd place SSA
Bill: 5th SSC, 6th SSB, 16th F1 after getting meatballed.
All in all a good weekend, I'm proud of the team, everyone rode well and there were no crashes.
Next up: Oak Hill.

To say there was some great racing would be a understatement. To watch guys like Haner, West & Eslick, jump from last place to fourth in two turns was amazing.
Bill Drake (ex. #270) was running with these guys in second place for a while. He just couldn't keep the pace for the entire race, but looking at who was around him :eek3: He did great.

Brandon(nov. #214)....dude your smoking. Even on the stock bike :icon_thumright: That was the best I have seen you go in the "little" bike.

Ronnie(nov. #650)...mista smooth. You did great & as always a pleasure to have in the pit.

Patrick.....my main man. Thanks for the hard work & coming up under the circumstances. Next time we all go eat italian up there, you & "B" are banned from the trailer.... :tongue5: :laughing6:
