I quit riding moto around 2000 and that was just when the 4 strokes were getting popular and now it looks like that's almost all that is made. I know the new 4's are fast now but it would be kinda cool to have a 2 stroke since they're so easy to work on and change the rings and everything.
Has anyone seen any 2 stroke SM's cause it looks like everyone's talking about the newer 4 strokes?

i don't want to say that they are common, because around here, motards aren't really common. But I have seen (online in other forums) a lot of 250 2smokes in motard form.

Man I miss it. I sold my 98 YZ125 about 2 years for $1,100 and it was in good condition. I could have just thrown some SM wheels/tires on it!
Can you legallize 2 strokes or do they have some emissions requirements?

i see street legal ones on forums also, but I don't know how hard it is to do. I am currently in the process of street legalizing my 426. I have all the paperwork, I just have to get to the court house.

2 strokes make great race bikes but they're hard to get plated for street use in Texas.
