Here is a copy of my post on the CMRA message board.
As most of you are aware Gordon Bradeen was seriously injured at OHR and has a long road ahead with future surgeries and the expenses associated with COBRA benefits. Gordon will not be able to return to work for at least 6 more months. The CMRA family has already been generous towards Gordons situation but there is still more help that is needed. Sunday October 16th LSTD and the CMRA are hosting a benefit at MSR/Cresson.
We plan on having BBQ, beer, and a silent auction with all the proceeds going toward Gordon. Any parties interested in donating items for the auction please e mail Nancy Selleck. We also need sponsors or help with the food, preparation, beer, and other "fun stuff". Anyone have a BBQ team? Know a beer distributor?
The following day on Monday October 17th, LSTD will be hosting a track day with our normal A,B,C riding group format. All profits from this event will also be donated to his cause. Jack Farr, owner of MSR has graciously donated his facility and as always has showed his love for our sport and it's participants. THANKS JACK !!!!!!!
This event is a couple of weeks after our season ender at TWS and hopefully we can rally some support for our fellow racer and friend. We will post more information as we finalize our plans/ideas/thoughts.
The track day fee will remain at our normal prices but we will accept any donations above and beyond that fee. Spread the word and Thanks in advance from Gordon.
