I little worm is going around from the MS05-039 vulnerability. I would suggest running windows update and getting your lastest security updates installed. Updating your virus definitions will be a good idea as well. I will post more info as soon as I get it. :icon_thumright:

This is probably one of the fastest worms to pop up in a long time. The patches where released Tuesday by Thursday night there was exploit code on the net and by Sunday there was a worm hitting boxes.

I have win2k on one of my machines but I try to keep it updated as much as I can... We'll see what this thing can do. :eek3:

Yeh, SBC is getting hit by it hard right now.

One of our Instructors is IT for them, he's been at work non-stop since 5pm yesterday.

Makes me glad I don't have a "real" job...........

Well... for the right price they could have me as an employee to help setup proper security procedures to avoid this kind of incident. Let me know if they are interested. :icon_thumright:
