I JUST START IT UP AND GO, IT'S NOT LIKE I'LL BE TAKING THE CORNERS AT 80MPH.

Sounds about right to me.

you don't need to be doing 80 for that to happen. Happened to me some time ago at about 25mph with 40° something at less than 5 mins after I started it. All you need is a bad combination of too much throtle with cold tires, and there comes the pavement.

1) it ain;t that cold yet
2) weaving back and forth is useless for "heating" up tires, racers do it to knock marbles of their tires
3) building some speed and then doing a quick stop is the best method for heating up tires. other then tire warmers.

yup, when temps dip you can loose 3-4 psi overnight. so yeah anytime we have dramatic weather changes hotter or colder, check A/P

you must be having a good day ed. :D
you're being nice to people today :thumb:
great advice, from a knowledgeable guy. tire pressure has A LOT to do with your riding, no matter what style of riding you do, tire pressure will affect it.

+1 Same thing happened to me a couple of years ago in the parking lot at work on a cold morning going about 10mph. I'm more careful now. Would be nice to have some tire warmer just cause.

Wake up early and put your warmers on while you suit up for work!

tire warmers for the street would be useless and a waste of time.
tire warmers are more for heat cycle sensitive tires. also so you can rail it on your first time out. best and fastest way to heat up a tire is keep higher speed in a straightaway for a few minutes. heats up the tire way faster than a tire warmer could do. :thumb:

Getting on the freeway and cruising for a few miles.

I meant in regards to PSI.

I drop a few psi when it's cold. The tires warm up easier (more friction) and get better grip. And I haul less ass...usually.:D

depends on the brand/model of tire...but in a general sense, i usually go with 35 front, 33 rear for street use

personally?
I think if you wear shorts, a wife beater, flip flops,no helmet and some oakleys your tires will instantly heat up the second you get on the bike cause being squidley is hot! baaahahahah
joking man...
umm really? i guess a nice burnout IS a good way to start off the morning...HAHAH
