I won a gun in a raffle for 10 bucks. there was a lawyer there that called in the registration and i didn't have to pay for it.
To get your Concealed handgun Liciense you have to take the class and then you have to pay 75 buck to renew it each year i think. I haven't done it yet, but i might here in a few weeks. I'll let you know when i find out more.

To get your CHL you need to take a class. The class will run you about $100. Most gun ranges offer the class you just have to call around.

take the class (around $100), get the permit, buy the gun($$ varies of course) and you're done  .. Just keep it concealed.

If buying or selling privatly all you need is a drivers license. No registration needed. Ive done that at gunshows more than a few times. I dont like big brother knowing what I have.

Renewal is every 4 years. You learn all the statutes of limitations and stuff in the class.... you have to be 21 to take the class and to receive the license after you pass the background check. Hope you have not been arrested, mentally institutionalized or have recent noteable drug problems.

Carlos: Try to find out if that "incident" is still on record. If not, you are good to go.

As long as it wasn't a Class A or B misdemeanor, you should be OK. Oh... you need to have been convicted, not just arrested.
I was convicted and if I'm not mistaken, I am pretty sure it was a Class C.

if it was just a C, then you have nothing to worry about. Be it known, however, if it's an A or B, you'll find out pretty soon after you apply that you just wasted your time. You should try to find out before-hand.
Cool!! Thanks for the help. :icon_thumright:
