City Of Houston has approved funding for more academy classes in the next two years. They haven't hired like this since after the Vietnam War. No more civil service testing prior to applying, the civil service test is taken in the academy now.

Nice choice you get to check out money everyday, drink on duty, and try to get strippers to have sex with you. You also have to do the gay sting operations. Ever wonder what happens in the back rooms of the adult video stores? Or they may put you on the corner of montrose and westheimer looking for johns.

I'd sign up for the academy if I was younger and just starting out in a career.
To old and settled now.

that stupid 60 college hrs thing kills me. I hated school. I have plenty of knowledge, i just dont apply it well in a school setting. I might have to check it out anyway, my dad was a peace officer, along with 3 of my uncles and both my grandparents.
