lol... we always ride our dirt bikes and ATVs on the street and no harrassment... i guess it depends on the area

I agree, the noise levels of HDs are ridiculous and no one ever messes with them, yet I get harassed for the noise level of my mustang (legal exhaust too). HDs are louder by far.

I would guess the leg they stand on in your case is one type of bike is legal for the street while the other type isn't.

There's a guy that lives down the street from a buddy of mine here in Magnolia, that has a 7 second quarter mile 1st gen Camaro. If he even so much as starts it up in the driveway, some bitch down the street calls the police. Ridiculous.

cops have been hatin on me since I got my first dirt bike in 1981, I think they teach hate toward dirt bikes in the academy. I guess a kid on a dirt bike doesnt pose a threat of a real criminal, so they are an easy mark.

I could care less to be honest. But i think there is a huge double standard on acceptable sound and unacceptable sound.

when i had my dirtbikes i knew the cops would be called in a short period of time so i just rode the piss outta them and put them up before the cop drove by, and if he came to the door i just play dumb.


now if i was 10yrs old and on a dirtbike the same neighbor who calls the cops would probally wave at me.. bastard.

lol after 10yrs of living in da house i live in... no complaints so far and i have rode the dirt bike and 4 wheeler in the mist of the night (2am) the latest and still no call but then again my closest is neighbor is pretty far...
