Okay, I was reluctant to post this but because there is such a need... It's not good money or fast money, but it's a job and it's fun.

UT Health and Science Center is always looking for Standardized Patients.

You learn a scripted role and "perform" for medical students. You are their semester finals exam and their "hands on" training prior to going out in the field. (Please - no VULGAR jokes.)

You will be contract labor, so you have to pay your own taxes after the first $600 per year. Your first meeting will be unpaid and parking is $10. After you are hired, the pay is $12 and hour for Traning and $15 an hour for "Performances" and your parking is always paid. You will get your "paycheck" in about 6 to 8 weeks after each performance, depending on when the pay packet for a given script gets submitted for pay.

It's not a lot of pay and it's not a lot of hours. Right now it's a couple hundred a month if you are lucky. Twice a year it's $1500+ for about 6 weeks. (Finals)

So - If you are serious or just want some extra spending cash for 1 or 2 days a week work -

Call 713-500-5900 and ask for Marcie Hamburger - Tell her Toni referred you. (No I don't get anything for referring you, but she will wonder where all the new people got her information.)

This is a real business. Please don't call just to Mess Around.

:)

Your Title is: STANDARDIZED PATIENT

Your scripts and training materials are confidential. EVERYONE is able to get this job. They needs all colors, shapes and ages. Don't be put off. If you can remember the lyrics to a song, you can do this job.

Downtown / Med Center - Once or twice a week until semester finals, then you can work every day if you want.

Baylor College of Medicine also has an SP program and you can apply for both colleges online. (Sorry forgot that part earlier.)
