I see coach making Stevie our 6th man, and let mike James run the court. Stevie should have never been put in the point guard position. He should have always been a 2. Don't flame me, don't get me wrong, he was awesome back in the day, and still has it in him i'm sure, but he should be a 2 guard. I say he comes off the bench so he doesn't battle tmac and yao for points. He'll be perfect off the bench though.

My biggest fear this year, is the wide open high energy games I think we are going to have. I'm worried about Yao's legs by the time playoffs come around. Guess we will see.

Thats where I don't believe in Stevie, he isn't all that great of an assist guy. Hopefully all that has changed. this is going to be an exciting team to watch. Houston sports (minus the astros) are going to be exciting the next 6 months.

Let me get this back from the beginning: (THE POINT GUARD SITUATION) Francis is gonna be coming off the bench and be the 6th man. Alston will still run point, he is OK but not great so he'll do. If not Luther Head will step in, he is very underrated in my opinion. But I dont think Aaron Brooks will get much PT. I saw him at the open practice and he is too small. Dont get me wrong, he's good but we have plenty of people to play PG. Oh yeah and John Lucas will be cut. Somewhere in there Mike James will be back doing his thing.

Probably because we don't have a solid backup for him. I second what you said about Francis and Lucas. It would be nice to see a decent backup get picked up. From what I hear, we already have some solid offers for a couple guys that won't make the team. I don't have any details though. Just hear say.

the way the preseason is going...looks like they will be running a 3 guard set at times possibly when Tmac is resting our even if we are playing a smaller team. i think we know that Yao has a problem when guarded by a smaller and quicker 4 or 5 man...

One thing I noticed though, with Adelman's style of play, the fast paced way, it is harder for teams to slow down long enough to isolate. I don't think yao has too many problems with a smaller 4 or 5 unless it is boozer like. Too strong for his size, and fast. But we will see. I do like seeing Mike James put up 17 points last night though. I really think he should be running point and Francis come off the bench when Tracy sits. I would love to see Francis play the 2 guard for the first time in the NBA. He would naturally fit that role.

Utah, GSW, ....teams with a smaller 4-5 who can SCORE and defend, Yao has a lil problem.... but its the same mis match most teams try to find... big guys who can score from the outside ala D Nowitzki or blow by the bigger slower defender... i really like the Adelman style of play...i think Skip (Rafer) fits this offense perfectly!

everytime i see kobe play (in person especially) i am amazed how great he moves with and without the ball. he decides when he wants to turn it on just like last year in the playoffs.

Unfortunately, I would say yes on the trade of Kobe for TMac for one reason only, Tmac's back. If not that, I would say no because I think Kobe is too selfish of a player and would cause too much harm. IF he was able to change his attitude (and a new team just might do that) him on this team would definetely put us in championship contention. I think Odom could put this team over the hump also. This is all too exciting, even if we don't get anyone else. Go Rockets!!!

yep said losing team, and the only reason we didn't have both out, was because TMac played hurt to keep a superstar in the games. There were many times he played limited minutes, and his production was really low because he played hurt. They were both at the beginning of last season. Tracy went out first, then yao got hurt. Yao missed 34 games and Tracy missed 11. We still won a ton of games considering.

chicago's GM (paxon i think) moved alot of contracts to get the team he has now and is looking towards a good team this year and building them. supposedly the interest in chicago about getting kobe is really high and since that deal was leaked, may force him to take that risk. i also heard since the east is pretty weak, kobe should be able to carry the bulls until they mesh well later this season.
