Got a pair of the Forcefield Action Shorts. The armor is flexible which makes it pretty comfortable to wear. Don't notice them when I'm riding so that's always good. Haven't tested their crash worthiness, but from the feel and looks, it appears the armor would do what it's supposed to.

The track day org we used at Barber in June highly recommended this stuff. They said they have only had 1 rider die in all their years.
In 2006 he was doin a T/D with them, fell and broke a rib, puncturing a lung.
They belived if he had one of these chest protectors on he would've lived. They also said that if you think about it racing leathers are protective everywhere except the chest area.
I want one but, can't find a sponsor other than Long Horn Motorcycle school!!! Who are the most kickass T/D org EVER!!!

I'm sure you can wear it without leathers. But then, that depends on one's definition of "squid". :keke:

It's for impact, not abrasion - so it goes under the outer layer of gear.
I can see a HUGE benefit to the tight fit, since it is less likely (if possible at all) to move around once you hit.
