what is the class displacement limit? i've read(many times) that the BBR big bore kits really bring the XR's to life. I would start with a good set of hoops and spokes and fresh rubber. Get the suspension and the brakes dialed in and then build the motor. Horsepower(although low numbers in this case) is useless if the chassis is not ready for it. If you want to do a little more reading, hit up www.supermotojunkie.com and say hello. Be warned, the search function on that sight is your friend. Read all you can before you start asking questions and you should be good to go!!!

well i just proved to myself that i know nothing about carburators, its leaking fuel from the bottom of the carb when the fuel is turned on, it wont idle and bogs down bad when the throttle is opened, i guess i have my work cut out for me.

Once you get the engine running, the first you really need to worry about it the wheels and putting street tires on. Making it faster can be worked on once you get used to riding this thing. :icon_bigg

yea the plan is to get her running smooth, then maybe get some new rims and some street tires, then get suspension and brakes where i want them, and lastly worry about any motor work.
