license question

so ill be picking up another YSR50 today. and its completely street legal, and already registered and everything. but i was wondering, what license do you have to have to drive this? is it a normal motorcycle license? or do you even need a special license for these. i know different states have different laws, and im not really familiar with this. it is a 50cc motor, so take that into mind.

at 50cc I believe Texas considers it a moped and doesn't require the "M" endorsement but hell if your goin to get a big bike just get the motorcycle endorsement

I agree, I would get it just so that if you get pulled over the cop has one less theing to harass you about..:icon_thum

Actually to be considered a moped, it must be 49cc's or less AND not be able to go faster than 35mph.

Anything other than that requires a regular class "M" endorsement on the Driver's License.

if you're ysr50 is street legal, you can use it to get the license.

or you can take MSF, and that way you don't need a bike. they take care of your riding part of the test, you just go to DPS to take the written part.

im kinda new at this shit, so where can i take MSF? and when i go to the dps what do i ask to take? and when u say they take car of the riding part, do you mean they give you a bike to ride, or they just wave it off.
