Edwards and roossi are looking good in yellow, but nikki hayden was hauling ass on that nasty (good nasty) lookin honda. He qualified first, and was leading when I walked away from the tv.

You walked away from the TV? Do you actually own a motorcycle? :eek3:

Been watchin a show on the history channel for an hour and a half about the history of motorcycles. My brain felt fried and I had already watched the qualifieing. The triumph had ass loads of waterspots from riding through yesterdays showers and needed to be washed and I needed to move around. So if you can update me on the outcome, I would apreciate it. I caught a glimpse of the AMA superbike race and mladin was up front. Anyone catch the outcome on that too?

Everybody watching witnessed an epic moment in motorcycle history yesterday. I guess some people are part of history and others just watch it. :tongue5:

i wander what was up with Rossi, at the end he was on Collins ass, i think personally he wanted to let Collin and Nicky get the spots, being in the US. It isnt gonna hurt his points standings any at all, I think it was great for for both Americans on the podium, Nicky's first GP win. Collin was kicking ass but, he seems to have a not so good tire choice every race. he claims that his tires go toward the end of the races, he needs to do something different, conserve in places, or chose another compound. Overall, I think it was an excellent race, Nicky just plain kicked ever1's ass out there, and Collin gave a great performance. Rossi was just along for the ride, he couldve at least taken Collins spot, i dont think he could have caught up with Nicky, that lead of almost 3 seconds was a long way, rossi wouldve had to push it like never before..

the first crash when Barros and Melandri went down, i was like ohh shit thats Rossi, but it wasnt,, kinda scared me for a minute,, that sure wouldve sucked,,

good to see Sete finish behind everyone else,, Hopkins did a good job, wouldve liked to seen him in front of Sete and Max tho.

I think Rossi never really grasped the track until race time and by then Nicky had it on lock. Although I do think he may have not pushed as hard to regain 2nd position. I posted this finishing positions on HSN months ago. I think the right guys finished at the top on this one and the right guys where in the spot light. I hope this brings a new recognition to MotoGP and maybe we will get to see another track step up to the challenge of hosting this kind of event. How nice would it be to have an East coast and West coast MotoGP event. :icon_thumright:

how will Nicky fare in future races now that he has the taste of the top podium in his mouth for the first time?

Well, if he continues to get a good grid and good starts, we may see him hold a stronger position throughout the race. I have seen him many times in the past be out front and eventually let it slide a little to easy. confidence is everything in racing. :icon_thumright:
