Only a week after Live Earth, eco-warrior Al Gore didn't do much for his green credentials when he shocked fellow environmentalists by serving up an endangered fish at his daughter's wedding rehearsal dinner.
The former US vicepresident provided 75 guests with Chilean sea bass - one of the world's most threatened fish species.
Gore, 59, who created the climate change documentary An Inconvenient Truth, sampled a sixcourse tasting menu at Beverly Hills ' Crustacean restaurant which included the sea bass - also known as Patagonian toothfish.
The Patagonian toothfish, is a species that is under huge pressure from illegal, unregulated and unreported fishing activities in the Southern Ocean, jeopardising the sustainability of remaining stocks.
It is known as one of the world's most endangered species of fish. Evidently a fact not known by the Gores.
The gaffe will have been even more embarrassing for the Gores because they tried to make the wedding between Sarah Gore and businessman Bill Lee - who met at a function for An Inconvenient Truth - as green as possible.
Sarah, a 28-year-old Harvard graduate, is currently a medical student at the University of California , San Francisco . She is the Gore's youngest daughter.

I wonder if they'll force all their guests to reuse toilet paper.

When will Al Gore learn...he can't dance and that global warming is caused mainly by the sun getting hotter not by the gases we put in the air...we do live in a solar system...we rotate around a big ball of fire and gas...no one ever mentions that the other planets are getting hotter also...all the global warming hype is for those companies that get government contracts while researching this...Money!!! Thats what global warming is about.

we're all gonna catch hell when the sun turns into a red giant and engulfs the Earth. Hopefully human civilization will still be around by then. Most likely not.

As Tennesse Senator and hopeful Republican Presidential Cadidate Fred Thompson put it, " we revolve around the sun. All planets that revolve around a sun are affected by the temp of that sun. Stars have life cycles and as they get older they get hotter then explode. Science has indicated that all planets are getting warmer. Does that mean there are little green men driving their vehicles around causing those other planets to get warmer?"

AHHAHAHAHAHAHA 25 years ago Time Magazine stated that our planet was getting colder, anyone remember that? These guys are having a hard time deciding if we're getting hotter or colder.

All the Senate and House representatives should work for the average American wage which is around $40,000 a year (I'm guessing). Then we would truely have a government that is for the people, by the people. Then I bet they would happy to vote in favor of any tax cuts for the middle class.

Each rep and senator should only be paid the median income of their respective states. And, they should be paid by their state, not the federal government ... they need to be reminded that they are there to represent the citizens of their state.

If the pay was the same state-by-state, otherwise politicians will be going to the states with more money.
Although
Can anyone argue it be better if the pay was govern by the state?
1. State paid- so state govern
2. More people to represent?
3. ??
Still like the idea of equal representation

Also, there needs to be term limits on Reps and Senators ... that way we don't get ex-KKK blowhards like Byrd in congress.

Al Gore is a fraud. He's just a talking head for some environmental group. If you really listen to what he says, he has no idea what he's saying... merely repeating things he's heard.
F'kin idiot.

looks like some data had to be revised due to bad engineering ... NASA has re-released it's temperature data and it now shows that 1934, not 1998, as the hottest recorded year in the US. In fact, 4 of the top 10 years are in the 1930s. ... how's that for inconvenient?
