It was suppose to be this weekend but got moved to next cause of rain. Bunch of manufacturers should be out to advertise and give stuff out. You get to ride for free if you test drive a Tundra. So come out.

bring me one bike too tony.......I need to buy a truck soon again.
Tundra vs Cadillac = 45k vs. 70k = 400-600 a mo. vs 1200-1400 a mo.
Tundra= beast vs. cadillac= bling bling
Tundra win.

The ability to protect you is the same for street & dirt helmets. I've been asking around because I am getting int dirt riding more and it seems the biggest differences are air flow (need more for dirt), ability to wear goggles (blocks dust from getting in your eyes) and the visor (to keep out the sun).

You should ride dirt with a chest/back protector, knee/shin protection, and elbow/forearm protection. Neck brace is good if you've got the cash to spend. Dirt boots will protect you from twisting/pulling all the fragile bits on your ankles.

I'd like to go too, but will have to see what the schedule and weather hold. :eh:

out there you just need a helmet and pants. i've regularly seen guys out there in a street helmet and a tshirt and jeans with tennis shoes.

i prefer to wear my helmet, goggles, chest, knee/shins, elbows, boots, gloves, sliding/compression shorts, and my mx pants and jersey... the times that i forgot one of those items is when i got a scar where that item protects.

dirtbike helmets are cooler to wear both looks and temperature-wise

I went out to Outlaw Trax on an XR250R and crashed 7 times (twice pretty hard) but did it all in full street gear with the addition of a padded chest plate. Got some bruises to show for it, but nothing broken or bleeding.

Three Palms
Toyota ride and Drive Day
Come out to Three Palms Extreme Sports Park this July 4th weekend and enjoy some Riding and Driving! Bring the family, kids, your dirt bikes, ATV’s and water craft out for a fun time for all. Make it over to the Toyota Tundra display and take a New Toyota Tundra for a Test-Drive and not only get your practice fee refunded but get a cool set of Toyota Tie-Downs.

On Saturday and Sunday from 9 till 6pm, anyone who pays the $16.00 practice fee can get their practice fee refunded if they take the voucher given at the front gate to the Toyota display, view a 2007 Tundra and complete a questionaire. The voucher will be validated and upon leaving the property you can present the voucher at the front gate for your refund.

If you want to go on a certain day, just message me. Someone should definitely bring jet skis or something too cause I'm sure the tracks are going to be super effin packed. lol

Oh yea...Minimum gear is helmet, gloves, goggles and boots. But I've seen people wear tennis shoes and not get griped out. But Emil (the owner) griped at one of my friends for wearing jeans and a tee instead of jersey and riding pants. I wear full gear and I'm glad I did too. I use to not wear a chest protector and after not riding for like 4 months, I went to the track and jacked a turn and my bike basically scratched the back of my TLD helmet (which is a pricey helmet!) and I have a black tire market on the back of my chest protector. Without it, I'd totally mess up back.

Longnguyen
07-08-2007, 11:22 AM
that lake looks kinda dirty........water is like muddy brown. Are they letting quads run that day or just bikes.

hotnanas
07-08-2007, 11:24 AM
hell, nothing may be running that day but the jet skis.

Longnguyen
07-08-2007, 11:28 AM
well i think from the way the website states, you test drive a tundra on the dirt track so i guess its like going mudding and little jumps? or test drive as in driving regular streets.

hotnanas
07-08-2007, 11:31 AM
the previous tundra test setups that i have seen has been on a closed track. a long circle that has some dirtmounds that they have you idle over. then they have a big rather steep mound that they have you idle up. nothing great, but still, i'd do it for free track time....i just need to get my bike back to do it

Longnguyen
07-08-2007, 11:32 AM
yea i just looked up the weather for the week, its raining all week so i guess it might get canceled again. Well if i test drive......i wont idle it up......my feet will slip and accidentally gun the throttle. =X

hotnanas

i'm sure the guy in the passenger seat has a little bit more control than the test-driver would think....

hopefully they have it though, i want to ride some dirt...it's been too long.
