You answered 90% of questions correctly. Here's your rating:
0-20%: Maybe you're still thinking too much about the Old Country.
25-40%: Mmmm. Do you really want to be a citizen? This kind of performance isn't going to impress those nice immigration folks.
45-60%: Not too bad, but you really need to break out the civics books again -- word is, the INS is looking for an 80 percent score.
65-80%: Hey, you may make a good citizen yet! Look at your wrong answers and a little revision should do the trick.
85-100%: Welcome to the United States! (And, truth be told, you know more about this great land than most Americans.)
I missed 2 questions. One was about the form you need to submit to apply for citizenship. lol :BangHead:

I missed the one about the Petition/Application for citizenship. < That's a question that an alien would know, not a citizen.
And pretty much had to guess on which amendment doesn't deal with voting rights.

I got a 90.
Missed these:
8. Which of the following amendments to the Constitution does NOT address or guarantee voting rights?
19th Amendment is not correct.
7th Amendment
12. How many changes or amendments are there to the Constitution?
10 is not correct.

Guess with test taking experience. Social Security and answer 4 are obviously wrong. The first two answers "Application" and "Petition" are government terms. Does someone "apply" or "petition" for citizenship. The guess is "apply".

Your question highlights one of the inherent contradictions in the Constitution.
Only Congress can declare war but the President is the commander in chief.
That contradiction is one reason for the tension between President Bush and the Democratic majority in Congress. In the past that ment Presidents engaged in military action without the prior approval of Congress. For instance, President James K Polk order the Army to Brownsville in 1846 when Mexico still claimed it and, after Mexico reacted, asked Congress to declare war. President Wilson ordered the Army to get Pancho Villa without getting a declaration of war; President Truman sent troops to Korea and President Johnson troops to Vietnam without declarations of war.

Yeah!!! We been here (Texas) since my great great grandfather came here from Virginia to be a tobacco farmer in 1842. The log cabin he built is still outside Frelsburg under a big ol' oak tree.
So I aint gotta take no steenking tests.

I thought the president could declare war or is he just the commander n chief of the military...? :eek3:
The president must take a confirmed military action declared by the joint chiefs of which he is the commander in chief of to the Congress for the absolute declaration and approval...they have to agree first, but the declaration originates in the joint chiefs which the prez is head of...
