Vortex Handlebar Clip Ons

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK? SHOULD I GET THESE TO LOWER THE BIKE IN THE FRONT OR THE TOP TREE HB MOUNT? IF I GOT THESE THEN I CAN REMOVE THE TOP CLAMP ON THE BUSA AND IT WILL SHAVE SOME LBS OFF THE BIKE, LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU ALL THINK!

YES BUT ON THE BUSA THEY HAVE THREE PEACE CLAMPS, THE UPPER AND LOWER TRIPLE CLAPS AND THEN A HANDLEBAR CLAMP THAT BOLTS TO THE TOP OF THE TRIPLE CLAMP, SO WITH THESE I CAN REMOVE THE HANDLE BAR CLAMP AND THE OLD HEAVY BARS EX !

How so? i can remove the uper hb mount and loosen the triple trees lower the bike about an inch and slap on the vortex, wher are the clearance issues comeing from?

There's not that much weight to be saved there. You'd have saved a lot more going with a full exhaust IMO if that's your goal.

no i am just asking couse it says its for the busa! they have a 7 degree angle and so forth.? realy would it have clr issues?

Some of those work, others hit the instrument panel at full lock. It depends on how they machined the mount.

Are you just wanting to raise the bars and chanf]ge the riding position?

Vortex does not make bars specifically for the Busa, only has the same i.d. as the fork tubes.

i am looking to lower a little 1-2 inch no more but the handle bar clamps they make with the larger diameter holes are exp, i thought that if i got the clip ons they would lighten it a bit and i would not have to buy that bar clamp! ?

I AM JUST LOOKING TO LOWER THE BIKE A BIT , AND THE HANDLE BAR CLAMPS THAT GO ATOP THE TRIPLE TREES ARE NOT TO MUCH 160 OR I COULD BUY A TOP TRIPLE CLAMP THAT REPLACES THE FACTORY TOP AND THE HANDLE BAR CLAMP( 269), OR THEY SELL SPACERS TO PUT UNDER THE FACTORY HANDLE BAR CLAMP, (I DO NOT LIKE THE SPACERS),

DOG BONES I CAN GET ALL DAY LONG, CHEAP BUT THE CLAMP IS WHAT I AM LOOKING AT !

ITS NOT THAT SIMPLE WITH THE BUSA! WE HAVE THE TRIPLE TREE (UPER AND LOWER) BUT BOLTED TO THE UPER IS A HANDLE BAR CLAMP AND IT HAS HOLES TO ADJUST THE SUSP. BUT NOT BIG ENOGH TO GET THE TUBES THREW, THAT IS THE PROBLEM, YOU HAVE TO BUY A NEW HB MOUNT OR LIKE I WAS THINKING REMOVE THE MOUNT AND LOWER THE FORKS AND THEN PUT THE VORTEX CLIP ONS ON !

I AM LOOKING TO LOWER THE BIKE!

AND THE BUSA HAS THE UPER AND LOWER TRIPLE BUT THE BARS HAVE THEIR OWN MOUNT THAT BOLTS TO THE TOP OF THE TREE, FROM WHAT I HAVE SEEN I CAN

1 REMOVE THE BAR MOUNT ALLTOGHETHER AND LOWER THE BIKE WITH FACTORY TREE AND PUT THE VORTEX CLIP ON ON THE TUBES! (above the upper tree after lowering)

2 I CAN BUY PILLERS / SPACERS TO PUT UNDER THE TOP TREE AND THE BAR MOUNT, OR

3 I CAN BUY A BAR CLAMP THAT REPLACES THE FACTORY BAR CLAMP THAT HAS HOLE CUT FOR THE TUBES TO COME THREW,

4 U CAB BUY A ONE PEACE UPPER TREE THAT REPLACES THE FACTORY UPPER AS WELL AS THE FACTORY BAR CLAMP.

The least expensive way is to put the spacers in the front end and add some links to the rear.
