It's not that they aren't paying taxes. It's that they ( all illegals) are driving down wages. They come here and get on welfare and medicade and it drains an already tapped system. There are alot of people who really need the help but can't get it. I have to send my chidren to a private school for pre-k because public schools are only for indegent peaople. WTF????? i disagree, I think the economy would be just fine. I also think all the structures would be in place as well. they would just be built by americans instead of illegals. the whole stupid argument of "americans are too lazy" is crap. we just require realistic wages to do the work that illegals will do for next to nothing, therefore, contractors and business owners use the cheap labor to maximize profit instead of using americans which in turn pay into the system and boost economy. I believe using illegals severely harms the economy.

this is correct. we have done this math before. business owner uses cheap illegal labor, gets more work than the honest guy.
so everyone uses illegal. labor is a variable on a spreadsheet. when that X factor changes, and the other costs remain the same with the same profit margin, the price goes up. if the other costs (materials, shipping, permits, machinery, ect) go down, the end price goes down. if the business owner lowers his margins, he can still do work but simply must to more to make more by the end of the year.
but if everyone uses legal labor, the X factor remains the same accross the board therby leveling the playing field, at least as far as that portion of the spreadsheet does not change. negotiating material and other Y factor items now affects his "go to market" price.
simple fuckin math, every economics kid knows this.
