who here prints out there own digital pics, and what type of printer are you using,,

i want to get a printer so i dont have to keep going to CVS to print them out,, and how is it cost wise?

i rarely print the pics i keep them on the computer and i burn them on a cd.

Though they're very expensive, I really like laser printers all around.

Cost wise...??? I go to Wal-Mart if I need to print a picture, they use high-end printers and very high quality paper, printing using a regular ink-jet printer is more expensive due to the supplys like the special paper and cartridges, using one of those specific 4x6 picture printer (thermal dye-transfer) the supplys like the ink and paper is also expensive but the quality is much better.

$500 is way too much for me.... i'll stay with CVS .29 per print

We have an HP photo printer (the one that prints on the 4x6's) and the quality is just as good as any developer but cost is probably 3 times as much. It's more of a convenience issue then cost issue. If your gonna print out a few photos here and there, get one. But if you like having all your photos printed then your gonna spend more money in the long run. There are several places online that process your photos and ship them to your door.

Oh, I think I paid like $150 or so for the printer.
