Those are Taliban fighters in Afghanistan. Footage was shot by Marines of Marine snipers.

Were those single .50 caliber shots or bursts...????? Looks like single shot but not sure....I thing is amazing..what kind of sight optics are they using...???

Just to give you an idea

.223 aka 5.56x45mm
30.06 aka 7.62x55mm
50BMG aka 12.7x99 mm

So not only are the bullets getting larger in diameter, and MUCH heavier.... depending on the powder load they are moving faster. Where a really hot loaded .223 round might deliver 900joules of energy, a mild 50BMG round might deliver over 14 times that amount around 14,200j
