Hey guys my dunlop is all spinned out. I was going to get a new M3. The question I have is what size should I get? I think it's 150 and 160 are my choices but not sure. I have a Honda 2004 CBR 600 RR. Someone told me I could go up one size from factory.
What would be a disadvantage for going with the bigger tire, I know the advantage would be more traction right?

i run 180/55 on my 03...i wanted to jump to a 190 cuz it looks better but they told my that you dont have the same traction so.....its easier to wipe out if take a curve too fast..so screw that i replaced it with a 180 again and it runs sweet.

actually if im not mistaken a lot of racers run 190 instead of 180 more contact patch more traction

190 will have slightly more patch, but turn in is harder. I think its realy negligable though....180 is loads easier than the 190 on turn in.

Most of the top 600 racers run a 190/55, which has a taller profile so turn in in not affected.
For street use / occasional track day use, I'd stay with a 180 on a 600 / 750.

I run a 180/60 Dunlop Qualifier on my 02 ZRX-1200, handles like a dream :icon_thum
