help wtf happened

ok bike (cbr f4i) rode perfect earlier today went to get some flush mounts...

there are two wires on the flush mounts and two wires on the front turn signals i already had (stupid looking carbon fiber cheap walmart turn signals). so i replaced accordingly then went i went to start bike it wouldnt start, and when i squeeze the brakes the turn signal lights on my speedo come on solid. the flush mounts worked but always flashed faster than normal there is a third wire and i tried all combinations and only one worked so i figured it was correct. now battery is dead bike wont start and flush mounts stopped working along with turn signals on speedo remain on while i squeeze brakes.

if there were 3 wires then you had combination running light/turn signals. 2 wires were for those and 1 was for the ground. Make sure you have the correct wire hooked up as a ground wire. if the 2 power wires were backwards it may cause your display lights to do that. you may have accidentally tapped into the brake power wire instead of the turn signal wire also, where are you located, i may be able to come check it out tomorrow

the lights that came on the bike when i bought it werent the stock lights and only had two wires hooked up of the three i replace where those wires connected to the flush mounts and all hell broke loose im so confused thought it would just be snip crimp replace now my bike doesnt fawking run

check your fuses...i know i popped a few when replacing my front turn signals... well really it was the same one over and over again :)

ok ripped it apart and started over using a multi meter found the ground and connecting only to the blinker part of the harness same $hit when i push a blinker left or right does not matter my dash goes crazy left right left right prob ten times a second and when i squeeze brake lever they go full on, but the blinker functions properly ???????????????????

i had a similar problem, you may want to try another set of lights. I bought some that would kill ALL my signals because one of the lights was bad. Also, if your lights are Single Filament (2 wires) and your bike is Dual Filament(3 wires) just dont use the solid black wire(running light) and hook everything up as normal.

Now does anyone know of a way to stop the lights from blinking faster than normal?
