Have an 06 CBR 1000RR.

Already have the Jardine pipe on it, and I know the filter and PC3 are next in line. Is there anything else I'm missing?

Thanks, already done a few of the basic courses, and I just ride it to have fun and do a little drag racing.


Anyone else?

On a serious note - i would lower the bike and maybe gear it right (i only say these two things, since in post #3 you said drag racing).

Yep. Didn't buy it to look at it in a garage. Bought it to have fun and use it.

Nah, I've already had the stretched, lowered, doped gixxer, I'm keepin it stock height because I love corners just as much as drag racing.


Do they offer the TRE's for the honda?

turbo! and spray!!! :P i changed out brake and clutch lines on mine for stainless steel ones and it has better feed back... are you just setting up the bike to ride around the streets or are you going to take it on a road racing course or straightline?

Going to just be a fun toy. Occasional spirited back roads, some trips to the track on a whim. Just gonna be something that I can enjoy on both sides of the spectrum. I ride it to work 2-3 days a week, so I won't be getting radical with it. It will stay on pump gas as well. Might just throw a small shot on it for fun, not too sure yet.


Might just buy some links and straps for when I go to the drag track, and leave it stock on the street.

velocity stack. imo is the best bang for the buck. also 520 -1+2
also get some light weight wheels

the velocity stacks have been proven to do nothing on the new cbrs. in fact, they've been proven to do nothing on the new gixxers, zx's, and r1's too. the bike is also already geared from the factory. it has the shortest gears of any of the current literbikes, so gearing it down even more will make riding it on the street a pita. the cbrs also have the lightest oem wheels of any bike out right now. and they're strong. even going to a set of mag wheels will only save you a couple lbs.

i say leave it just the way it is. you can't beat honda's reliability and the total package that bike offers straight off the floor. i'd invest in good tires and some track days. best money you'll ever spend.

We've used the Factory Pro stacks on '05 and '06 CBR600RRs with good results.
I'd also recommend going -1 tooth on the countershaft sprocket.

Sorry, just saw you had a 1000rr.
The stacks don't give much on that bike.
I'd definitely add the BMC's and PCIII.

The gearing will get you more acceleration, although you will lose a little top end.
You say you're drag racing so you may want to strap the front end while on the track.

i dont know where is it been proving but the v-stack sure work great for alot of people on the cbr.i dont know about the 1000, but on the my 600rr it give pretty good result and doesnt cost an arm. but hey if you got the money to spend, then a littly help here and there wont hurt. and the mag wheel sure look clean though. i would rock them if i have cash to throw around


edit: just saw what patrick wrote.. and the man know best. so i guess it doesnt work on 1000, but 600, well for that is, work well
