I stumbled over this PDF a few days ago. It cover's throwing a crash test dummy dressed in 2-pc suits onto the road at 60 mph. Just in case yall are interested.

I don't think it would matter on a one or two piece in the test. It is measure abrasion(quality material), seam burst(quality construction), tear(durability), and impact(quality armor).

I would agree about the Astars suits. They are comfortable but they really don't crash well. I had them on that fatefull day and they did save me from rash. But I landed in the grass too. They did have some tears in them. I have seen others with them that had tears in them as well in minor get offs at the mini track.

You can't beat the Syed leathers though if you want a pair to stand up time and time again. Mine have been down several times and they are fine and dandy. Too bad we can't wrap our bikes in them so that they can have the same level of protection lol.

I did not see any damage due to being 2 piece. This artice should be a wake up call for those who think blue jeans will hold up though.
