very funny,,,
i have dropped the bike off with the uncle/the only guy that is allowed to work on my stuff. hes pretty busy making money so when he gets to it, i'll be takin pics and keepin this new thread updated, but i cant wait to get her going again,, and while the motor is out, we plan on addressing the smoke prob, and change out the rear shock.. maybe even do a valve job and install a high compression head gasket, sync the carbs and lean her out some so that i get that extra 10 HP back that she has lost over time...

well she does have 25k on the motor, which are pretty hard miles, so i guess that can be expected..

fyi don't put a thinner head gasket in her you'e just asking for a blown head gasket with this hot ass houston weather. then bumping compression will make it run even hotter. if i were you synch the carbs do the shock. and get the valve guides sorted cause that's more than likely what's making it smoke.

James.... I believe you mentioned you have no desire to race but, if the thought has tickled your head a little then all these mods will be factors in what class you can run. Just thought I would through that out there. I personally think you should get involved with racing because you are fast and would have the biggest weight advantage on anybody out there. :icon_thumright:
