I need to buy a new pair of gloves. I ended up losing mine at Rogers crash site (RIP). I had some long spidi gloves and why were really nice IMO. I was looking for a replacement in blue/white and preferably with solid knuckles. Let me know whats good so i can get soem before the memorial ride

+1 on the Astars. I have a pair of their SMX short cuff gloves and they are super comfy, well made and durable as hell.

Held are probably the best... but too much $$$
Teknic Violator are probably your best bang for your buck. I had several pair, and crash tested 2 pair, 1 at low speed, 1 at high speed. In both incidents, I came out with all five digits on each hand.

Your gonna have a tough time finding anything better than those spidi's.
Theres a reason the top riders in the world use em you know.
Doubt you find any local though.
Just go up to MU and try on some teknic's. If not, he can order anything else you want.

I have used them all...and my last pair are Held's. They hold up extremely well. More so than the others. But the teknics hold up great as well.

I like my speedstars. Between Teknic and Held, I'd just go for the better deal

I currently wear Teknic Speedstars and like them. I have had Held gloves in the past. Although they were comfortable, I had problems with the stitching coming apart.

+1 on the Teknics
I had the Violators, crash tested 3 times, worked perfect every time.

Helds are okay. The stitching on the fingers is external which is a deal killer in my book. Same with Alpinestars.

i have the Alpinestars GP Tech and GP Pro. i crashed in my GP Pro i would say high speed (120+ mph) and still have all fingers and thumbs. im using GP Tech now havent tested out yet dont plan too, but they suppose to be better than my GP Pro.

I got a pair of Held's from a buddy of mine on HSN later last year super cheap, they have been absolutely awesome and the only gloves I'll get again. They are definitely pricey, but well worth it if you ask me.

I believe the model I have is discontinued, but this is the closest model I could find. Funny thing, the name of the glove is the Held Steve. :icon_bigg

Helds are okay. The stitching on the fingers is external which is a deal killer in my book. Same with Alpinestars. The high end HELDS (Akira & Phantom) have both internal and external stiching. The basic glove - including the fingers are assembled with internal stitching - the doublers - such as in the palm, and on the inside of the fingers are attached with external stitching. All gloves I have ever seen have the doublers attached with stitching that is exposed - doesn't seem there is any other way to do it. If that were to fail, then the fingers - etc. are still in tact with internal stitching.

i had Alpine GP Pros and Teknic Speedstars but now i got Joe Rockets speedmaster 5.0 and I love them so much, you can feel anything you touch, it almost like wearing no gloves at all.
