as i was sitting in tech i feel this rumbling sensation,, like thunder. then behind me pulls up a Road King and then i feel even more, look beside me and yet another Road King, both fully dressed with all the bells and whistles,, all together there were four big cruisers out there,,,

I think the harleys best lap times were 3:56. :keke:

i recommend to my students to get ALL they're bikes out there........as long as they stay in the "slow" group........they need to learn as well.

They coudn't hold their lines wortha shit, but then again it was C-group. As I passed one of them in t#7, I heard the Harley draggin' some metal and they were barely leaned over.

I am very suprised that dealerships are not getting involved with track days and allowing some kind of road tests to occur. :eh:

Seams like it would be the safest place to let people demo bikes and maybe have a few people show them off. Especially if maybe they did a lunch session thing or something where you are not mixed in with all the regular trafic. :dontknow:

Are you guys serious...???? Are cruisers allowed at track days...???? I though it was only for sports bikes.....That's one of the reasons I'm not interested in a track day...My bike is NOT in the sport class, for what you guys tell in the boards seems like the track day is to see who has the best lap times and who's the fastest..always talking about how you guys hit the turns at 160-170MPH.....That's too scary for me...I never go above the "ton" and top speed in my bike is 130MPH...So I do not think my Kwaka is up to for a track day...Better be safe riding the streets......!!!!

Nope. Any bike is allowed as long as it is at least 125cc 2-stroke. It just has to meet the prep requirements on the track day host's site.

Your ZR7 would be fine for some track days.

Also, whoever said they were hitting the turns at 160 to 170 is lying to you. That's top speed on the straight away for good racers out at TWS. The fastest turn out there is Turn 1 and 100-120 is what above average to great riders will do.

I can not deny that it must be fun running at the track, but really I'm not interested.....probably in my next life I'll give it a try... :dontknow:
or if I can get me a second disposable bike just for track/stunt use I'm pretty sure I'll go with you guys, in the meantime I can not afford the destruction of my main mode of transportation. :crying:

yup, you'll add yrs to your riding skill.

take crashing out of your head, i've prolly done 10-15 trackdays.....no crashes, no off course antics. it's all up to you how much risk you wanna take.

haha nice... if u go there and cruise, most likely u wont crash, but when u start pushing it, thats when its gets dangerous.
