Does noise have to come with performance?

If you have a boosted/sprayed drive train, can you still have a quiet running vehicle without losing performance or do you have to have a lot of noise?

I would have to say it is very possible to have a very fast or performace car and still not make alot of noise. For instance look at the grand national. You don't hear them going down the track, but yet they blast by most people like there setting still. Rare but possible

I'm bored, I want to learn how to build a motor, going to spray for sure, boost possibly..

I've had a rough week, a friend let me drive his civic, he's doing 12.3 in the 1/4 and did the work himself. He said if I drug something in he'd teach me how.

I saw a 280 for $300 but I also have a 240sx laying around too. This guy really prefers hondas, I've also got a geo meto that he says we can upgrade to a 1.8 ltr DOHC that would be a mostly direct swap. Bleh, we'll see, whatever I do though, I want it to be quiet.

The bodies no good, it was hit in the ass. I got it to do a five lug conversion no a different one, if you want anything else off of it though, it's all good and cheap. Whole drive train, interior front body panels etc.. It's been a while since I've looked at it though, forget the exact year.

Anyways if anyone wants a part off of it lemmie know, the only thing I'd do with it if I were to do anything is pull the motor and learn how it works, but if someone wanted to buy it I can find other stuff to mess with.

Turbo actually quitens the exhaust. If you want info on swaping in a SR20Det let me know, Helped a freind do his swap in a 92 240sx se coupe, and it was super fun to drive until he hit a pole trying to drift around a u turn. Here is the link to it.http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2086787

is the 280 a 280Z or a 280ZX? this makes all the difference. if its a Z, get it. lightwieght and there are all kinds of swaps like the good ol fashioned SBC, or an L28ET, or a VG30ET, or if yoiu reeeeeallly want power, and have money to burn, you can go VG30DETT. if you want real torque with lots of potential, a v-6 is the way to go.
