Anyone have any experience with these boots or have heard anything about them?

i use to own those...they are pretty good. but since then, i've switched over to Sidi, more adjustability, more protection.

Which sidis did you get? Alot of people seem to prefer sidis of astars.. i dont want to regret buying these astars

sidi vertigos. i picked them up from patrick at MU for a good price.

they vent easier, and seem to hold up longer (so far). the stitching on my Astar's started to break in certain spots after about 6 months of use. i'm on my 4th month with the sidi's, and everything looks like the day i got em. plus they vent better.

oh yeah, and it seems like you can damn near replace anything on the sidi....if it breaks of course. lots of removable parts on the carcass of the boot.

I see.. the sidi vertigos are about the same price, but the sidi vertigo corsa's are about $400

I have the AStars and the Sidi Vertigo Corsas. I love them both. But you can replace virtually everything on the Sidis! They are more comfortable, safer (I have crashed in both), and they are lighter! Either ones are great though!

I had a pair of Sidi Vertebra's for about 3 years. Awesome boots. I just upgraded to the Vertigo's. Even better boots! You'll love the Sidi's

I've been racing the same set of Astars for five years. I've tried Garene, AGV, Sidi, and a few others, but nothing feels as good as a well broken in pair of A stars. They crash VERY GOOD and the heal slider is a leg saver for sure. My only complaint is that it is hard to sneak up on anyone as mine have a squeak in the hinge that NO lube can kill. It's become a trademark. I know Tim Chason has a set of Astars for sale, hit up Jason he has them I think. You are also welcome to try out the above brands at our next trackday if you'd like to feel for yourself, then Patrick can get you whatever you decide on.

Had a set of the A*s. They crash well but do squek a lot. I have the perforated SIDIs now and really like them.
