Firefox (for auto-spellcheck) FTW Oh, and there is a preview button. You don't have to blindly submit your posts. :keke:

Between other moto forums and several work-related ones, I can say this is the only one that doesn't allow edits.

This makes it tough if you're trying to provide technical information and need to edit part numbers, etc. And decreases the value of the forum for informational purposes. I'm fairly new here, but if I had to guess, I'd say it was because of the many "drama" posts as of late -- where people try to take back what they say. So for social purposes, I'd say it might improve things. But personally I look to forums to provide about 80% info and 20% social conversation.

How about we just start banning some of the drama kings/queens? Or I guess I'll have to use that "ignore" feature. :icon_smil

It's too bad we have so much more forum "noise" here than other forums. There's always a few people ruining it for the whole bunch.

my friend your words are wise and your point is clear. Motohouston has been heading that direction for some time though. slowly and surely becoming a more and more "serious" motorcycle forum. and IMHO you will see alot of the people that START the drama with "Banned" under their names more often. I'm no angel, We all know that. But my goal on the site is to help out all i can with anything i can and use the motochat section for entertainment. this section has been taken off the main page and is only viewed by those that want to view it. for your 20% social conversation.. i'd say go for it.. but for that 80% info you mentioned.. you will get none out of the chat section.
and the ignore feature works well also.. i have some people that are on and off my ignore list... it keeps me outa trouble to not see what others are saying about me.

yes.

you can press the preview button, read what your posts will look like and see if any images are loading they correct way. if for some reason you need to edit the post for important info like part numbers, prices, updated info, just post at the end of the thread or PM a mod with a request.

hopefully this will make people think twice of what they are posting and consider the outcome of their words.

We can hope, but I certainly doubt it. I've been a mod and owned too many forums to believe this will hold true...I'm sorry to say. :BangHead:
