A buddy of mine rolled over to my place last night and was wearing the "crack head" one... I totally dig it....
Im really thinking about getting one.
Anyone have one? Reviews? pros? cons?
I also want to get it with the auto darkening shield....

I have all three crack head models :keke: I love the helmet. The anti-fog coating on the clear visor it comes with is totally sweet. I also have the light and dark smokes as well as the gold mirrored. Unfortunately the gold one I have doesn't have the anti-fog coating.
They flow air well and are much higher quality than KBC and ICON in my opinion (I own those too). The scorpion may not be the best helmet but I think you'd have a hard time finding a better value. :icon_thum
I'm interested in checking out the new auto darkening shield but haven't gotten one yet.
Let me know if you have any specific questions about the helmet. :icon_bigg

Don't have the crackhead series, but I also sport a rivet series exo-700. Love everything about it! Best bang for your buck. I wear plugs and it feels like I'm wearing a $500 lid.:icon_thum

The visor quick change mechanism seems pretty good to me. :happy3:

I have a crackhead and it is noisey compared to my old suomy. other than that, good airflow.

My plug for Scorpion is on their web site:

But I'm not being paid by them. :icon_smil
The Scorpion EXO 700 is the only helmet I've ever owned so I have no basis of comparison. That said, it's held up to almost two years of daily use. The back vent has trouble staying on without a little superglue, but Scorpion will send you replacements.
The removable lining and quick change shield are great. The visor can eventually fog up after a year but the warranty is for two years. I started having a fogging problem is in the 30s or low 40s when I'm sitting at a light. Once I start moving it goes away. Eventually it fogged in warmer temperatures but I have to say it was still not as bad as some of the other helmets I've seen.
I also have one of the Shadeshifter photosensitive shields. It's good, but not great. It doesn't get dark enough for my uses, normally. So I still pack the clear and dark smoke version when I can. However where the Shadeshifter does come in handy is when you are about to take off for a quick ride and you know it won't be light when you come back home. You just snap it on and go. Supposedly they are coming out with a version that is goes from light smoke to dark smoke.
The helmet is heavy compared to the Arai's and Shoei's but the weight has never bothered me.
If you can wait until this summer though when the EXO 1000 comes out, then you might be even happier. It has a built in flip down tinted visor that you can activate with gloves on and without having to raise the clear faceshield.

I have a fury (exo-700) and I love it. Fits my head really well. I would definitely get the aero skirt like everyone else is saying. I didnt have it at first and the inside of my shield actually had a thin film of dirt that was blowing up into the helmet and sticking to the inside of the visor (guess my hot breath acted like an "adhesive"). Plenty of airflow with this helmet. Just try one on. Eximport stocks them (not saying to buy it there though). I got mine with an extra dark shield for about 180 shipped.
Oh, and i like the shield change. But still not quite as fast to change as the shoei's (RF-1000 and X-11), but fast enough.

I don't think the EXO 1000 is available yet. The Scorpion web site says this summer.
