Why? Do you have something against Suomy?
What experience have you had with them?

I like AGV. So i recommend it.
My experience with Suomy & HJC were'nt good in terms of head fit and ventilation.
Besides, the Suomy i had - it's interior was'nt removable. Which i expect from a $400 helmet!
The only thing i liked about the Suomy i had was the ratched shield mechanism, which basically allowed me to open the shield partially and leave it place locked there.
Do you have something against AGV?

Nope, but I didn't say you would thank me later if you got a Suomy vs. an AGV either. IMO AGV makes a quality helmet.
Which Suomy did you own? For how long?
Like any other helmet, Suomy Spec 1 R's fit certain shaped heads better than others. You apparently have an AGV head. (that and a secret crush on Valentino Rossi:laughing6 :eek3: )
All Spec 1 Rs have fully removable liners, they always have, however they don't have a racheting shield, they use a friction design, much like Arai, and the system works very well
As far as ventilation goes, the Spec 1 R works as well for me as my Arai RX7.
It's also served myself and several of my friends well in bouncing across the pavement.

I had a Spec 1R extreme. It was the Michael Fabrizio design.
I thought that it was way too flashy! (very cheap looking)
To best summarise my short 300 miles with the helmet, i'll say they were loud as F@ck, but one of the lighter helmets i have tried soo far.
But i would never buy this helmet - unless Rossi starts wearing them :keke:
The only reason i even had it in the first place was because it came with one of the bike's i bought. Just like i have Shoei sitting at home right now that came with the R6 i just bought..umm which reminds me i should put it for sale :eek3:

You win.
I was looking for input on the helmet itself and some some crash tests if any.
I also didn't want to purchase a helmet that everyone was sporting at the local bike meet. :icon_thum

I have this helment like it alot. suomy's tend to run small. compared to others but that's all I can say and that's not saying anything bad.

Anybody who says their well ventilated helmet is loud has some personal issues to work out. :laughing6
