Which ever one is more comfortable for you. Either set is plenty for TMGP.

I'd wear the street boots, and bring some extra toe sliders, unless your comfortable riding motard style.

i'm not sure...i haven't really ridden this bike but in the neighborhood, everytime i've turned i've kicked my foot out offroad style...anyone gonna allow me to go out and practice with them? i'm in the works of getting the katy membership...

You'll want to ride with your knee down, so wear the street boots. The 60 is too small to ride motard style

You can use cotter pins for the axles if you don't have fancy clips.
hotnanas
04-12-2007, 12:43 PM
do i have to wire the cotterpin or would just the cotterpin suffice?
basically, during this wiring, am I just trying to create a leash for the parts?

TMGP Rulebook said something about 'C' type clips being allowed as long as they're wired shut. I don't know if they're referring to these clips.

Cotter pins on the axles do not have to be wired. Just the style clips Denhou used have to be wired close.

In all honesty, there were too many bikes (in most of the classes), i mean enough to where it got a little hectic going into the 1st 3 turns, knowing there is no exit! :eek3: - joke's aside!
On a good note for TMGP - they had a record turn out of 79 entries (first time in Katy according to Jeff).
They messed up on one of my races, i came in 3rd, but apparently the flag girl messed up with 2 checkered flags and one white. The 2nd guy over laped someone, and then i was about to lap him too, so he's between 2nd and 3rd, but the flag girl gave him 3rd and i guess i'll have to take his fall and be considered the one being flagged - so i guess there was a big turn out enuff to make it "hard to organize".
Thank god the endurance races are going to be on Transponders now. :confused1
One of you PM me what time you guys are heading out, we plan on being there by 8:30 AM, gate opens @ 9:00 AM.
Godsuki
04-28-2007, 09:42 PM
Congrats on the podium!!!!!!
I was assuming there would be a record turn out tomorrow. I kinda figure with Katy being so short taht the 65's wouldn't get a chance to stretch thier legs on us. I also figured that te traffic will play a huge factor in lap times too!
We are only doing endurance, which is why we were'nt there today
Godsuki
04-28-2007, 09:43 PM
Also maybe now they will split the endurance into novice and expert since there are so many new teams this year

What podium? :laughing6 Someone else got it. I went up to them and discussed the issue with them within 30 minutes, but its not CMRA - but its all good, i got lucky that race anyways. Till next time..:crying:
Yea Lap Times were really affected by the traffic today, tomorrow should be similar.

Traction - i've seen better days (while practicing), when the sun's out nice with a few nice races done, the track gets really warm and offers awesome traction.
For some reason today, they Sun never came out long enuff to warm the track up, we did have some nice quick races, but i guess they were'nt enuff.
I'm hoping for better traction tomorrow.
Oh yea, Buck had a Boo Boo in turn one. I feel sorry for him, too much traffic in the unlimited class. For a second there we all thought he saved it, but he ended up going down hard, but got right back! Hope he's arite.

Not to mention the brakes barely worked :laughing6 We were grabbing a handful of brakes (all 4 fingers) going into some corners and it still didn't want to shut down. :eh: Put that bike on a slightly bigger track and it would kick ass though.
This was my first time ever out there and I had a blast. I have the sunburn to prove it too!:eek3: It also made me realize I don't need to do CMRA when I have TMGP in my backyard so to speak for so much less money!

Oh and godd luck tomorrow fellas, just heading off to the boat now. Track was slick despite sunshine all day. The rear of the 150 was spinning up on exit in several corners. Wow......only 22hp. Definately way over crowded for that small of a track. Who ever said the forst three turns were hectic wasn't kidding. Nuts would be a better description. Should have broken that many riders up, ran nov and expert unlimited together as well as motard classes. Not the safest place to get it on with that many bikes. Be safe and good luck, Alanzo, Derek, and Jason, I'm holding high hopes you guys will redeem us. Go LMS mini!!!!! (or at the very least beat those ass kissing bi-sexuals)
